Hey Bud. Eby’s $1,000 Payout Vanished Quicker Than a Double-Double at the Drive-Thru

Well, looky here, folks. wouldn’t ya know—it happened. David “Pearl-Clutcher” Eby straight-up fibbed to voters. Promised a crisp $1,000 for everyone “right away,” but now he’s backpedaling faster than a Canuck defenceman on a two-on-one. Spoiler alert: you’re gettin’ squat.

This is the same guy who mocked the Conservative plan to let British Columbians write off rent and mortgage, saving folks thousands. He called it “the Rustad long wait.” Imagine the audacity, eh? Meanwhile, he’s clutching his pearls like Aunt Linda at bingo night, yammering about “immediate relief.”

Well guess what, bud—now that he’s in power, the only thing he made “immediate” was a fat pay raise for his MLAs. While you’re wondering how to pay for groceries that cost more than Leafs playoff tickets, Eby’s crew is laughing all the way to the bank, pockets stuffed like a Timmies cruller.

British Columbians? Left holding the bag. And not even a reusable one—you can’t afford that anymore either.

David Eby and the BC NDP don’t give a rip about hardworking Canucks. They’ll happily lie through their teeth, pat themselves on the back, and send you packing with nothing but higher bills and a soggy box of Timbits.

We need change, plain and simple. Change that doesn’t come with fine print or “oops, sorry eh, maybe later” excuses. Change that actually lets you keep your money, instead of watching it vanish into some MLA’s new Peloton subscription.

Elbows up, BC—it’s time to call a spade a spade: Eby sold you a dream and handed you a dud.
