Where Every Story is Satire

Satire is a form of artistic expression that is protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which guarantees freedom of expression as a fundamental freedom. Freedom of speech in a healthy and robust democracy must make space for that kind of discourse. Since the media are an important means for communicating thoughts and ideas, the Charter protects the right of the press and other media to speak out.
