City of Brampton removing all traffic lights

The City of Brampton city council has unanimously voted to remove all traffic lights and stop signs in the city. Due to extreme congestion and no one really following any traffic laws of which when prosecuted and fined, the fines rarely get paid and the courts are full with unheard cases going 3 years in the futures.

The spokesman for the Mayor of Brampton said “We identify ourselves as in independent governing body withing the province and as of this day will no longer allow the city or its citizens to be restricted with totalitarian traffic laws. Out of fairness, equality, diversity and respect for those citizens who refuse to be bound by laws.

Police chief Sidhu said he expects traffic to flow much better. Drivers are not dumb, He said. “When the time is right a driver will stop if they feel its safe to do so. There is no need to force someone to what they they know what to do on their own.”
Speeding is subjective to the individual Sidhu said. “Some people are born to go fast, some people slow. Let the people do what is comfortable to them and everyone will be happier and drive in harmony, safely and respect for individuality.”

The Mayors office said the city will save 1 billion and more dollars a year resulting from less traffic court and legal costs not to mention some traffic police officers being retired or reassigned.
